It is situated 6 kilometers away from the town of Razlog and 10 kilometers from the stunning capital of Sofia. The resort is located in the Blagoevgrad Province (Bulgaria). Since 2013, Bansko is being the winner of the World’s Ski Awards in the category of “Best Ski Resort in Bulgaria”. At the resort, you can find 70 kilometers of uninterrupted ski runs.
The annual snow range at Bansko is 936 to 2,600 meters. The height of the Bansko ski resort is 925 meters. There is a beautiful 70 kilometers of piste at Bansko, with 2,560 meters highest piste. There are two main areas of skiing, the Shiligarnika, and Chalin Valog. They both combine offers a run as high as 2,600 meters. These ski areas can be easily accessed through the modern lift system of Bansko.
With a total of 14 cutting-edge lifts, the most exotic ones include chairlifts, t-bar lifts, and circulating gondola lifts. Ski enthusiasts can also find people mover and Sunkid moving carpet for transportation.
The total ski area is 48.2 kilometers divided into three categories. For beginners, intermediate skiers, and professional skiing experts. The easy ski area is about 20 kilometers long, made for beginners. It covers an area of 41% of the total area. 24.5 kilometers track is for intermediate skiers, which covers an area of 51%. Finally, 3.7 kilometers long track is solely for advanced skiing experts. This covers an area of 8% out of the total area.
8.1 kilometers ski route is an additional route, which the majority of the time is accessed by experts’ skiers. The longest run in Bansko ski resort is 16 kilometers without interlude, with an elevation difference of 1,570 meters.
